Darren Carter is an accomplished investor, entrepreneur, CEO and Board Director, with significant experience in the financial services sector. After a noteworthy career as Managing Director at D.E Shaw & Co and CEO at KBC Financial Products, Darren has been a Non-Executive Director at Peel Hunt LLP since 2010. Darren has been a Non-Executive Director at Praetura Ventures and Praetura Debt since 2018.

Jon Prescott is a core member of the Praetura Ventures team. As a Partner, he heads up the business development team and has helped to develop many of the services we offer today. He boasts over 20 years financial services experience, with 15 of those spent at AJ Bell forging links with advisers across the country in his role as Business Development Manager. Jon was also a key member of the Octopus Investments team, working across the North, Scotland and Northern Ireland as the business’s Area Sales Director.

Sam McArthur is an experienced investment professional having previously held the role of Chief Operating Officer for Puma Investments from 2015, with responsibilities for the Puma VCTs, forming part of the board and senior management team responsible for growing AUM from £100 million to £950 million over 8 years. Prior to that, Sam’s previously held positions include CEO of a multi-site wholesale and distribution business as well as Associate Director at KBC Financial Products.
